August 15, 2019Midwest Destination Wedding Photographer Cluney Photo traveled to Weatherwood Homestead in Montana for this beautiful Montana Destination Wedding. Featured on Carats & Cake, Katie and Koben’s day was a beautiful mix of rustic elements and class, bringing their New York style to the mountains of Glacier National Park. Having grown up in Montana near Glacier Park, the groom’s love for Montana was evident in their venue selection.
Weatherwood Homestead is nestled right into the mountains on the edge of one of the most beautiful national parks in our country. The beauty of the day didn’t stop with the scenery though, as the incredible details from some of Montana’s best vendors accentuated the natural beauty of Montana.
One of the favorites of 2019 as a Midwest Destination Wedding Photographer, these two and the friends and family that surrounded this intimate wedding created a beautiful atmosphere for the wedding day.

July 19, 2019Des Moines Wedding Photographer Cluney Photo recently travelled to Montana to photograph this beautiful Montana Destination Wedding at Green Valley Ranch in West Glacier, just miles away from Glacier National Park. A timeless and classic event in every respect, this wedding was as upscale as I’ve seen in my 10 years as a Des Moines and Montana Destination Wedding Photographer. From the beautiful dress to the green tuxedo worn by the groom, Holly & Rohan’s wedding exuded the class that they live with. Congratulations to this beautiful Montana couple!

July 9, 2019Iowa Wedding Photographer Cluney Photo traveled to Montana for this beautiful destination elopement. Seated right on the edge of Glacier National Park, Green Valley Ranch is an incredible place. Jacklyn & Cole came from Cincinnati to Glacier for their intimate elopement. Surrounded by only their closest friends and family, as well as their daughter, this wedding was as perfect as you’d imagine. With help from Field Wedding Studio and A Movable Feast catering in Missoula, the couple was able to enjoy all the beauty of Montana and their family without the stressful aspects of a larger wedding. We made a quick trek to Glacier National Park the day after their elopement for some additional wedding photos. Congratulations Jacklyn & Cole!

June 11, 2019Soon to be featured in Rocky Mountain Bride‘s Idaho Wedding Issue, Iowa Wedding Photographer Cluney Photo traveled to Swan Valley, Idaho for Courtney + JM’s beautiful backyard wedding on the groom’s property. Near Jackson Hole, Swan Valley’s natural beauty was an emphasis for this couple and their day. The couple, who reside in LA, had friends and family attending from all over the west coast. Their love was the real focus of the day though, and these two could not have been more in love. Surrounded by the love of their family and friends, this was one of my most memorable weddings of 2019.
Being an Iowa Wedding Photographer takes me all over the country! More of my recent work can be found on the blog and portfolio!
June 3, 2019Kelsey & Steven came from San Francisco for their beautiful Montana Wedding in Whitefish. Being a traveling Des Moines Wedding Photographer, I get to see a lot of beautiful venues, and The Barns at Big Mountain was no exception. They held the ceremony in a wooded grove on the property. The reception, styled perfectly by Events by Autumn, took place in one of the barns on the property. Surrounded by friends and family at the base of Glacier National Park, this wedding was a beautiful event to witness. Congratulations to the amazing couple!

May 2, 2019As Des Moines Family Photographers, we love when our work takes us on the road. The James family lives in American Fork, Utah. They’re some of my favorite folks on the planet. Joshua is an incredible musician and songwriter (check his tunes here). Photographed entirely in and around their home, this is one of my favorite family sessions to date.

April 19, 2019Photographing Des Moines Couples + Families, my work takes me all over the nation. This year I had the opportunity to photograph some incredible people. From Montana to Iowa, to Nashville and beyond, it was one of my favorite years. And I had the honor of having some of my weddings published by Martha Stewart Weddings, Rocky Mountain Bride, and more. These couples + families, many of who are future or past wedding clients, are some of my favorite sessions to date. Getting to photograph Des Moines Couples + Families in their natural surroundings is why I do this.

April 18, 2019This year I branched out as a Des Moines Portrait Photographer and started focusing more heavily on portrait and editorial work in the music industry. I had the chance to tour with and/or photograph some of my favorites: Joshua James, The Wild Reeds, Gregory Alan Isakov, Okey Dokey, The Watson Twins, Bryan & Katie Torwalt and more. And 2019 has taken me back on the road to photograph some other great bands. While I’m still focused on Des Moines + Montana Weddings primarily, as well as being a Des Moines Portrait Photographer, these shoots are some of my favorites because of their creative freedom and laid-back nature.

September 18, 2018As a Des Moines Wedding Photographer, I love it when photography allows me to travel. This engagement session was in downtown Nashville. Tiana & Sam are incredible people and their love is as beautiful as they are. I met these two photographing Sam’s band. Getting to photograph this couple’s engagement session in one of my favorite cities was such a beautiful experience!

August 24, 2018I often photograph Des Moines Elopements, and getting to travel to Montana for one is special! Jocelyn and Mitch originally planned their elopement for Glacier National Park, but forest fires caused a last minute relocation. Choosing to say their vows on a cliff overlooking Flathead Lake, this intimate wedding was full of beauty and emotion. With only myself, the officiant, and their two closest friends in attendance, this day offered all the intimacy that made me fall in love with photographing Des Moines Elopements. Jocelyn & Mitch laughed, cried, and committed their lives to each other forever. Congratulations to the couple!

July 27, 2018Our years as Okoboji Wedding Photographers prepared us well for this Montana Summer Camp Wedding! With fun as the primary focus, Hannah & Brian’s friends and family came from all over the country to celebrate with them on the shores of Flathead Lake. The entire weekend was hosted at Spruce Lodge. The guests were able to enjoy the relaxed, lakeside vibe these two envisioned when planning their Montana Wedding.
