Claire & Mitch came to Montana to Glacier National Park for their intimate elopement. From Chattanooga, Tennessee, neither of them had ever visited the park before. But their wedding venue had them in awe of all of Montana’s natural beauty. With just the two of them, the officiant, and some help from Field Wedding Studio in Missoula, this elopement was beyond beautiful. It displayed everything an intimate Glacier Elopement should be. They chose to get married in Ryan Meadow on the shore of Lake McDonald in Apgar village. From there, we traveled throughout the park, stopping and enjoying some of the trails and beaches along Lake McDonald, including the stunning Lake McDonald Lodge. This intimate Glacier Montana elopement ended in Whitefish, Montana at a modern A-Frame cabin a few miles outside of town along Whitefish Lake. With a dinner set by Field Wedding Studio, the couple enjoyed an intimate evening capped off by some sweet treats by Posh Chocolate in Missoula. They spent a few additional days exploring the park before heading back home to Chattanooga where they get to begin their newly married life together. Congratulations Claire & Mitch!

This elopement was one of my favorites to date. Katie & Tom came from beautiful Bozeman, Montana to the Minnesota North Shore for their wedding. As an Iowa & Montana Wedding Photographer, I’d never been to the Minnesota North Shore before. I was astounded by the beauty!
Their elopement day plans changed because of the pouring rain, but these two handled it incredibly. The ceremony moved from the shore to the beautiful lake house they had rented. When it came time for their portraits, they wanted to brave the weather…and it made for some incredible images!
Katie & Tom expressed their love for black & white photography to me and asked that I photograph their wedding almost exclusively that way. Black & white photography is a passion of mine. Getting to see the day in this way made for wedding photography that feels immediately timeless.
